Thank you for attending the event

The FACCI - French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry QLD Chapter, sponsored by Turner & Townsend, was delighted to host members from Australian and French organisations at our C-Suite Luncheon: 100 days to go to Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games on Thursday, 18 April at the Sofitel Brisbane Central.

To answer our questions, we were privileged to welcome and hear from Kerry Petersen, Chief Impact Officer of Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee; Richard Watson, Senior Executive Director of Brisbane 2032 Coordination Office; Krista Adams, Deputy Mayor & Chair, City Planning & Economic Development of Brisbane City Council; Dyan Currie, Chief City Planner of Brisbane City Council and Brisbane 2032 Host City Office Lead; Scott Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Council of Mayors (SEQ); Phil Wishart, General Manager of Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement of Paralympics Australia and James Hamilton, Director, Global Host Cities and Venues at Turner & Townsend.

The C-Suite Luncheon provided an excellent opportunity for our guests to enrich the discussion on how the planning and preparation for the Paris Games can help make the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympics a success.

Following the recent announcement from the State Government to move the creation of an independent agency to manage the multi-billion-dollar infrastructure program, it was enlightening to hear from the Brisbane 2032 Coordination Office on the French procurement process and the Solideo success. Brisbane City Council and the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOG) shared with our members how to best position themselves and start engaging with all key decision makers.

Among our distinguished guests who shared their insights on the topic were Megan Antcliff, Director, Infrastructure and Major Programs from Turner & Townsend; Brett Bundock, Group Managing Director from Esri Australia & Esri South Asia; Darren Butler General Manager - Solution Sales - Power Systems from Schneider Electric; Michael Carreiras, President of the FACCI QLD and Managing Director from OP2 Consulting; Richard Evans, Regional General Manager - South Queensland from GHD; Anthony Dunn, Principal and Brisbane Office Leader from Egis; Nigel Fischer, Managing Partner from Pitcher Partners; Alan King, Director Major Programs - Australia and New Zealand from Turner & Townsend; Laurence Macia, Translational Immunologist - Translational Science Hub from Sanofi; Andrew McCormack, Partner from Ashurst; Betty Moinet FACCI QLD Vice President and QLD Client Success Manager from Esri; Angus Morton, Director from Monitor Deloitte and Lead Client Service Director - Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games; Tony Perkovic, National Business Development Manager from Seymour Whyte; Paul Roe, Queensland Branch Manager from Bollore; Ashley Stewart, Project Director from Turner & Townsend; Devinka Wanigesekera, Director Defence, Services, Manufacturing and Space from Trade and Investment Queensland; Andrei Wightman, CMI Manager from Thales; Nicolas Woringer, General Manager from VINCI Construction Grands Projets Australia.

We extend our gratitude to our sponsor Turner & Townsend, as well as to all our attendees, whose valuable contributions led to meaningful discussions.
