Australia's role in regional security and the country's defence capability is a priority for both the Federal and South Australian governments. South Australia is one of the country's foremost manufacturing hubs for the defence industry, which is a key source of jobs for the state, both now and into the future. These opportunities extend far beyond submarine construction and include related technologies, space, construction, project management and a variety of human services.
