The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry QLD Chapter is pleased to invite you to the conference Railvolution: Modernising the Rail Transport network in SEQ, taking place on 13 November 2024 from 7:30am to 9:00am at Holding Redlich in Brisbane.
Meeting the growing demands of the region is crucial as South East Queensland anticipates significant population growth and the influx of visitors for the upcoming Olympics. The region is expected to grow by an additional 1.9 million people by 2041, a 36% increase from current figures. With this growth, the demand for efficient and reliable transport solutions becomes ever more pressing. The event will focus on how modernising the rail transport network can significantly enhance connectivity, reduce travel times, and bolster economic growth while exploring two landmark projects: the Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail and the Direct Sunshine Coast.
As we discuss community benefits of these modernising projects, such as quicker, more reliable commutes, fostering greater work-life balance; reduce road congestion; increased access to efficient public transport and contributing to a more robust local economy. With an emphasis on sustainability, these projects also align with environmental goals, offering a greener alternative to car travel and reducing our carbon footprint.
The Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail and the Direct Sunshine Coast initiative will cater to the expected surge in transport needs, ensuring that infrastructure keeps pace with development. Enhanced rail services will not only serve the day-to-day travel requirements of residents but also support seamless movement during major events, positioning South East Queensland as a world-class, efficient transport hub.
