François-Xavier (or ‘FX’ as he’s often known) was announced as the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee’s (Brisbane 2032) Chief Commercial Officer in August 2024. FX has a long history with the Olympic and Paralympic Games Movements, having previously served as the Paris 2024 Organising Committee’s Senior Director of Partnerships and Licensing for five years. Prior to that, FX carved out a global commercial and marketing career over three decades, including close to 25 years with consumer goods corporate and worldwide Olympic Partner, Proctor and Gamble. FX has worked across a range of locations, including Europe and the US, and has settled into life in Brisbane with his family. He has quickly refamiliarised himself with local surroundings and attractions, having previously visited the city and region for work on several occasions. In his spare time and when not leading the team charged with raising billions in revenue for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, FX is an avid runner. He also holds a black belt in judo and has been a national player, coach and referee in badminton.

Currently, she serves as the Brisbane 2032 Client Success Practice Lead – Local Government & QLD State Government at Esri Australia, helping governments leverage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for strategic planning and development.

In addition, Betty is a FACCI Board Member, leading the Paris 2024 – Brisbane 2032: The Business of the Games task force, where she brings her vast Australian and French business network to drive commercial opportunities.

A determined and strategic professional, Betty excels in business development, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and project management. She is also an accomplished leader in marketing, events, and community engagement, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Franco-Australian ties.

As Co-Founder and Director of the Brisbane French Festival, she has fostered cultural connections and promoted French-Australian relations for over a decade. Her commitment to the Alliance Française de Brisbane, where she served on the board from 2006 to 2016, earned her the title of membre de vie (life member).

For her outstanding contributions, Betty was awarded the French National Order of Merit (Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite) in 2019 and was selected as an inaugural jury member for Le Courrier Australien’s French of the Year in Australia awards in 2021.

With a Master’s in International Business from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce International in Dunkerque, Betty continues to be a driving force in fostering business and cultural collaboration.
