The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry was delighted to invite you to its Energy Series event which explored how next-generation digital technologies, such as algorithms and AI, can play a significant role in the energy transition towards a net-zero carbon future.
Thank you for joining us for this Neoen Australia-sponsored-event on Thursday 15 June 2023, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre (AMDC), a facility kindly provided by our dear partner for this event, Swinburne University of Technology. This event was also the result of a collaboration with our dear partner, La French Tech Australia.
The energy sector's transition efforts have primarily focused on hardware, such as inventing new low-carbon infrastructure to replace legacy carbon-intensive systems. However, the introduction of next-generation digital technologies could also become essential enablers to accelerate the energy transition. During the panel discussion, several critical questions surrounding the role of algorithms and AI in the energy transition will be addressed:
How can key players unlock AI and IT's potential in this domain? How is research/academia working along with companies to accelerate the introduction of more efficient algorithms?
Our esteemed speakers shed light on where and how new algorithms can interact with carbon-intensive processes, and the need for "smart" algorithms, such as Artificial Intelligence, in comparison to "traditional" algorithms used in energy production and storage.
During this exciting event, you had the opportunity to hear from a diverse and knowledgeable panel of experts. The panel was be comprised of:
Lisa Zembrodt, Principal and Senior Director of Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business division in the Pacific Zone, will moderate this discussion.
Once again, thank you to our dear panellists, sponsor and partner and to all our guests for making of this event a great success and an insightful discussion.
