French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) was founded in 1899. At the time, Australia’s trade relations with France were almost solely dependent on the export of wool. More than a century later, this relationship now includes a host of many other industries.

The French-Australian Chamber is an independent not-for-profit organisation governed by 15 Board of Directors and comprising of more than 470 members. Our head office is based in Sydney and we also have four other Chapters and offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

The Chamber is affiliated with CCI France International, a worldwide network of 119 French Chambers operating in 94 countries.

The Chamber's main mission is to promote our members and help French and Australian companies succeed through information, networking and business support services.

Our FACCI X United Heroes | Olympic Challenge was a fantastic opportunity to get active and act positively for the planet!

Ten companies entered the 31 days challenge and got active by racking up as many activity points as possible. Swimming, cycling, walking, boxing... every sport counted!

Kudos to the winner... Alliance Francaise de Melbourne! They well deserved their title with an average ranking of 3,193 points. On the other steps of the podium: Egis and SIFA managed to build up a good score too! The competition was tough... Thanks to all the other participants of the challenge: AXA XL, BioMerieux, BNP Paribas, Club V.I.E, Menard and SYSTRA.

This event was proudly supporting One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation.

Outcomes of the Challenge:

335,678 total points accumulated
28,686 hours of activities
35,502 total kilometres (8x around of Australia)
4,387 kg CO2e avoided (5x distance by train to the moon)
95 trees planted in Australia with One Tree Planted
