French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) was founded in 1899. At the time, Australia’s trade relations with France were almost solely dependent on the export of wool. More than a century later, this relationship now includes a host of many other industries.

The French-Australian Chamber is an independent not-for-profit organisation governed by 15 Board of Directors and comprising of more than 470 members. Our head office is based in Sydney and we also have four other Chapters and offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

The Chamber is affiliated with CCI France International, a worldwide network of 119 French Chambers operating in 94 countries.

The Chamber's main mission is to promote our members and help French and Australian companies succeed through information, networking and business support services.

Thank you for attending our 2022 Sustainability Forum

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) was delighted to seeing you during this 8th Edition of the Business Forum in a hybrid format of both physical and online events. FACCI hosted a series of thought leadership initiatives around the topic of Sustainability, transforming our intentions into outcomes.

Sustainability is at the core of a growing number of companies' purpose, culture, and business goals as they accelerate their contributions to a sustainable and inclusive world. This is as well true for French and Australian businesses which are progressing in their journey towards sustainability. In this context, it was important to enhance the discussion on sustainability and its impact on monitoring performance, governance, and disclosure.

With the support of our Naming Rights Sponsor Schneider Electric, the event discussed several topics on sustainable economic growth, and the ambition for French and Australian businesses to forge their path as part of an innovative economy in the global sphere. The topics such as "Taking actions on sustainability boosts businesses", "sustainability & skills shortage" and "the impact of technologies", along with Schneider Electric's July 2022 report 'Sustainability Index: transforming intention to outcomes', have been addressed through panel discussionskeynote addressesC-level luncheons and business networking evenings.

Collaboration between multinational stakeholders within diverse industries will be an instrumental driver in the path to forging a more sustainable future. This event brought together key speakers from government, senior academic circles and representatives from leading industry partners to start the conversation about how Australia and France can collaborate to progress towards a sustainable commercial industry.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank once again not only our main Sponsors Schneider Electric and EY Australia for hosting this event, but also Bollore Logistics, Natixis, Thales, Anavo, BNP Paribas, Fracht, King&Wood Mallesons, SIFA Logistics, Veolia, AFBA, Ambassade de France en Australie, Business France, CNCCEF, EABC, La French Tech Australia, The Group of Eight Australia.
