French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) was founded in 1899. At the time, Australia’s trade relations with France were almost solely dependent on the export of wool. More than a century later, this relationship now includes a host of many other industries.

The French-Australian Chamber is an independent not-for-profit organisation governed by 15 Board of Directors and comprising of more than 430 members. Our head office is based in Sydney and we also have four other Chapters and offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

The Chamber is affiliated with CCI France International, a worldwide network of 119 French Chambers operating in 94 countries.

The Chamber's main mission is to promote our members and help French and Australian companies succeed through information, networking and business support services.

Thank you for attending the Bastille Day Business Breakfast.

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland Chapter, in partnership with Mazars, was delighted to invite its guests to its 2023 Bastille Day Business Breakfast on Friday 14 July in Brisbane.

As every year, the breakfast was held to celebrate France's National Day which commemorates the storming of the Paris prison, known as the Bastille on 14th July 1789 and the birth of the French Republic.

Just over a year before Paris 2024, we had the privilege of welcoming an exceptional panel representing the Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games main stakeholders, including:

  • Cindy Hook, CEO of the BNE 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee,
  • Matt Carroll AM, CEO of the Australian Olympic Committee,
  • Catherine Clark, CEO of Paralympics Australia, and
  • Cr Krista Adams, Deputy Lord Mayor, Chair for Economic Development and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Committee

MCed and facilitated by Olympic gold medallist and World champion swimmer Brooke Hanson OLY OAM, the panel discussed the planning and preparation of the Paris Games and how it can be leveraged to deliver a better Brisbane 2032.

Our partner Sofitel Brisbane Central put together for us a delicious gourmet breakfast, with Nespresso coffee and Champagne, of course, thanks to our member Wearing Memories Wine Merchants, the exclusive distributor of Royal Riviera Champagne!

Thanks again to our Naming Rights Sponsor, Mazars, and to our Gold Sponsors, Bolloré Logistics Australia and Sanofi, without whom this event would not have been possible.

We look forward to welcoming you again next year!
