QLD - HYBRID | 2024 Economic Outlook Briefing with Paul Bloxham

The French Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brisbane was delighted to host guest speaker Paul Bloxham on February 9th.

During this event, Paul Bloxham generously provided insights into the recent economic trends.

Here are the main highlights:

• The Australian economy is on a slow path to recovery with a positive outlook but an expected slow reduction of inflation
• The interest rates are unlikely to decrease until late this year/early next year
• While USA has been successfully rebalancing inflation with productivity lifts and is on path to growth, China economy is relatively underperforming facing challenges in the construction industry and over supply.
