Event Details

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry is pleased to invite you to its next Transport & Infrastructure in-person forum dedicated to Circularity in the Australian water sector - Challenging the status quo, on Monday 9 May.

Australia's climate and resource pressures call for new ways of thinking, to achieve climate resilience, water security, and resource recovery. This opens opportunities for water sector circularity, in a context where water and resource scarcity is driving opportunities to explore the water-waste-energy nexus.

This forum will explore this Circular Precinct idea through the themes of resilience, resource recovery, renewable energy microgrids, and purified recycled water. Whilst our focus will be on the role of circularity in water, we'll look beyond this towards the quest for collaboration between industry, government, and academia, to grow our communities towards sustainability and carbon neutrality in the coming decades.

Following a keynote address by Richard Kirkman, CEO and Managing Director at Veolia Australia & New Zealand, our panel, moderated by Dr Kathy Northcott, R&D Manager at Veolia, will bring together speakers drawn from various sectors and backgrounds, to discuss existing achievements and upcoming opportunities. Join our conversation as we consider how the water industry can work together with others to achieve circularity and capitalise on future innovations, whilst getting water investment decisions right.

We look forward to welcoming you in person on Monday 9 May from 2:30pm at the Queensland Museum in Brisbane. The replay will be made available to all registrants after the conference.
