The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce Queensland Chapter, in partnership with Brisbane & Gold Coast Accueil, had the pleasure of hosting its annual Atelier Mode d'Emploi workshop dedicated to job-seeking on Saturday 23 April.
The event was facilitated by Alain Etchegaray, Recruitment Specialist, at the premises of our Patron Member Pacific People Solutions.
The 4-hour workshop was an opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge of the local labour market, as well as the trending industries and customs of the Australian workplace, which is key to successfully finding employment.
Practical and interactive, the event focussed on how to prepare for job search, including:
- The importance of defining professional goals and objectives
- How to present your experience – length and structure of the resume
- How to create an effective LinkedIn profile, elevator pitch and cover letter
- How to prepare for an interview
Each participant received customised advice on their professional project and resume.
