The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce is preparing to celebrate a momentous occasion - its 125th Anniversary!

Join us to commemorate this significant milestone in your most elegant gala outfit and let us take you back in time to the vibrant Roaring Twenties, an era of opulence, innovation, glitz and glamour.

This event will be held in the sumptuous Garçon Bleu restaurant at the Sofitel Adelaide on Tuesday 14 May from 6pm to 10pm. On this occasion, VIPs and officials from the French-Australian community will be present among the guests such as the Hon Mira El Dannawi Representing the Premier of South Australia and Pierre-André Imbert, French Ambassador in Australia. We can't wait to see your best Great Gatsby suits and sparkly dresses!

Scott brings more than 20 years of experience to this general management role, having worked in senior executive and general management roles for leading properties throughout Australia and abroad during his distinguished career. During his career, Scott has worked for array of five-star hospitality brands, with time spent on Hayman Island at Australia’s most awarded Luxury Resort, and with Fairmont Hotels and Resort in the United Arab Emirates.
He has enjoyed a long tenure with Accor, first joining the Reef Hotel Casino (formerly the Sofitel Reef Casino Hotel) in an executive management role before moving to NSW where he held a number of senior executive and general management positions, including at the iconic Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. Scott has an accomplished commercial and operational background and completed a Master of Business Administration at University of South Australia in 2018. He brings a genuine passion for service engagement,
outstanding culinary and wine experience that will continue to stand the hotel, not least of all across its food and beverage outlets which include Club Millésime, Garçon Bleu and and Déjà vu Champagne Bar.

Mr. Imbert has worked with the President of the Republic since May 2017, initially as Social Advisor. In 2020, he was appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, in charge of the public policy division.

From 2012 to 2017, he was successively Advisor and then Chief of Staff to several ministers of Labor and Employment.

General Inspector of Finance, an economist by training (Master in economics and MBA from ESCP Europe), he worked in the private sector from 2003 to 2012, first with the consulting firm Altedia, where he was heading the social engineering, restructuring and economic development department, then by becoming a founding partner of the consulting firm Alixio.

He initially began his professional career in research and education at the University of Paris Sorbonne, before being appointed from 1997 until 2002 as Counselor of the President of the Finance Commission of the National Assembly.

As a civil engineer by profession, Alex Yee started his career in New Zealand working on major engineering projects in asset management, road transport, and aviation.
Following that, he transitioned into management consulting in Asia, where he specialized in M&A, strategy, and system integration and completed a Masters of Engineering Management and an MBA.
Over the years, he has led a number transport consulting businesses in Australia and served as the Managing Director of an end-to-end advisory, engineering, and operations company in Australia
In 2021, Alex joined Egis, attracted by the unique end-to-end business model. As the CEO of Egis in ANZ, his vision in the region is deliver "joyful connected cities" by becoming a city and network integrator, connecting the various elements of the city scape through our end-to-end perspective and influence as architects, engineers and operators. Alex is proud of the 700 Egis’ employees based across Australia and NZ working side by side with clients to build a more balanced, sustainable, and resilient world.
