The French-Australian Chamber of Commerceโ€‹ SA Chapter is delighted to invite you to Tchin Tchin Networking Evening โ€“ Meet with FACCI's Councillors! This event will be held at the Unley Oval on Tuesday, 3 June.


This particular Tchin-Tchin aims to get to know the FACCI SA Chapter's Councillors who support and energise the local French-Australian business community, promote the Chamber's initiatives, and assist our members in their business journey. This is a great opportunity to connect with them and to expand your professional network within the esteemed community of FACCI members and friends in a relaxed and festive atmosphere conducive to dialogue!


The event is kindly hosted by the City of Unley, welcoming us to the magnificent setting of the Unley Oval. Our valued members and sponsors, Phil Astley from Astley Knives will make you discover the art of Knife Carving with a demo set up! You will also have the opportunity to discover the air cleaning device from Airiel Solutions with Suzanne Kambuts, get to know PSI Lawyers with Michelle Petty-Sampson, the new properties listings of Sylvie fromSmart Home Vision and the buyers' agent services of Alexis from Craft Property Consulting.

    After several years in consultancy and audit firms, Wafaa joined SUEZ Group in 2010, where she worked in various groups and subsidiaries. Most recently she held the position of Deputy CEO for SUEZ Morocco.

    Wafaa Joined Suez Team in Adelaide on Februyary’2023. She and the family are very excited to discover Adelaide and the Australian Culture. Wafaa is very committed to helping the community, having recently been Treasurer of Aquassistance Morocco and currently Board Director of the SUEZ Foundation. She was an active member of the French Commerce Chamber in Morocco.
    She enjoys running and cycling and in 2022, she was part of a desert raid, a triathlon, and a half-marathon.

    Peter is the Chief Executive Officer at the City of Unley; a position he has held since late 2011. During this period, the City of Unley has been recognised nationally and internationally for its work in becoming an age friendly city as well as more recently for its work in the environment and sustainability in general.
    Unley has long been involved in economic development largely centred around its 4 main streets of Goodwood Road, Unley Road, King William Road and Fullarton Road. More recently, Peter has overseen the re-zoning of sections of the city to promote development and this is coming to fruition with over a dozen large scale developments in the works. Fundamental to this has been Council’s Economic Growth Strategy that recognises population growth as a key driver to the local economy.
    Peter is a qualified civil engineer and has a strong career in Local Government as well as State Government and the private sector. He has a MBA through the University of SA and is a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors. His interests are in organisation culture and continuous improvement of processes and systems.

    Phil Astley has his workshop at Hill Street Shed at Port Elliot, on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. There he produces and sells custom made chefs' knives and runs hands-on knife making workshops.
