The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI), in collaboration with Ashurst, was pleased to organise an exclusive C-Suite roundtable luncheon on Wednesday, 20th of November 2024, focusing on Directors' Duty Pulse Check: Navigating Psychosocial Risk in the Workplace.

This event brought together leaders from various industries to explore the evolving landscape of psychosocial risks in the workplace. With increased awareness surrounding mental health and workplace wellbeing, the discussion centred around how these issues have moved from HR concerns to top priorities for the boardroom.

Special thanks to Tony Morris, Partner at Ashurst Risk Advisory, for offering valuable insights on:

  • Defining psychosocial risk
  • The evolution of psychosocial risk from HR to the boardroom
  • The necessity of a proactive, risk-based approach
  • Market observations on emerging trends

Our VIP guest, Irene Krishnan, Acting Director of Mental Health Strategy and Coordination at WorkSafe Victoria, provided a comprehensive overview of regulatory priorities and frameworks, along with the latest trends in managing psychosocial risks from a Victorian perspective.

The session was expertly moderated by Pascale Toussat, FACCI Vice President (VIC Chapter) and HR Consultant at HR A LA CARTE. Attendees engaged in a collaborative table discussion led by Tony Morris and Irene Krishnan, delving into practical strategies for proactively addressing psychosocial risks within organisations.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ashurst for hosting this luncheon and to all our guests for their participation.

We look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming events.
