French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) was founded in 1899. At the time, Australia’s trade relations with France were almost solely dependent on the export of wool. More than a century later, this relationship now includes a host of many other industries.

The French-Australian Chamber is an independent not-for-profit organisation governed by 15 Board of Directors and comprising of more than 430 members. Our head office is based in Sydney and we also have four other Chapters and offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

The Chamber is affiliated with CCI France International, a worldwide network of 119 French Chambers operating in 94 countries.

The Chamber's main mission is to promote our members and help French and Australian companies succeed through information, networking and business support services.

Past Event

Our Victorian Chapter had the pleasure of organising our much-awaited 2022 Bouygues Construction Tour de France Lunch.

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Victorian Chapter was delighted to host our long awaited 2022 Bouygues Construction Tour de France Lunch at Zinc Federation Square on Thursday 23 June.

What an event! After being cancelled last year due to the COVID situation in Victoria, we were finally able to deliver this grandiose event! It was a great success and we had more than 300 guests who came to celebrate the Tour de France spirit!

There were some fantastic moments and activities including two fascinating stories by Carol Cooke AM and Phil Anderson that captured everyone's attention and allowed us all to commemorate their achievements and celebrate the Tour de France, in a discussion moderated by Dr Bridie O'Donnell. There were activities set up all around the room: A silent auction with many prizes, a live auction that drew friendly competition, and virtual race by Fulgaz for which our attendees surpassed themselves. The Tour de France Lunch was also rhythmed by degustations, the event started with a champagne degustation by Champagne Pommery, later in the course of the event, there were a cheese degustation by Long Paddock Cheese and a beer degustation by Bright Brewery that drew quite a crowd. The gourmet luncheon was delicious and accompanied by a selection of wines by M.Chapoutier, chosen to enhance the flavours of each course.

We were very pleased to see so many people in person, who shared a lot of smiles and interactions between new and old friends!

We would like to thank our Naming Rights sponsor Bouygues Construction, our Gold Sponsor Victoria's High Country, our event partners, ACCORM.Chapoutier, Alpine Nature Experience, FulGaz, Bright Brewery, Long Paddock Cheese, Champagne Pommery, our Supporting Partners, Reed & Co, Goldrush Ballooning, Dindi Naturals, Spring Spur, Hurdle Creek Still, Magimix, L'Occitane, Columbia, Tefal, Planetrees Estate, Spirits of France, Sofitel, Melbourne Bike Show, Franck Provost, Yoga Corner, MAAT World, our Media Partner, SBS, and our Charity Partner, Tour de Cure.
