𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 Pierre-André Imbert, Ambassador of France to Australia, visited Western Australia on Friday, June 28th, at The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre for FACCI's 125th Anniversary Celebration - sponsored by Capgemini!

The cocktail soirée celebrated FACCI's 125th Anniversary guided by our Master of Ceremony & Speaker from Engie Impact, Amy Steel. Our guests experienced lively music, thought-provoking speeches, exciting raffle prizes, and an exclusive art exhibition featuring the stunning works of internationally acclaimed French artist Nathalie du Pasquier.

Mr. Imbert has worked with the President of the Republic since May 2017, initially as Social Advisor. In 2020, he was appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, in charge of the public policy division.

From 2012 to 2017, he was successively Advisor and then Chief of Staff to several ministers of Labor and Employment.

General Inspector of Finance, an economist by training (Master in economics and MBA from ESCP Europe), he worked in the private sector from 2003 to 2012, first with the consulting firm Altedia, where he was heading the social engineering, restructuring and economic development department, then by becoming a founding partner of the consulting firm Alixio.

He initially began his professional career in research and education at the University of Paris Sorbonne, before being appointed from 1997 until 2002 as Counselor of the President of the Finance Commission of the National Assembly.

Amy is currently the head of office and global subject lead for Climate risk and Adaptation at Engie Impact. Her career has delved deep into both mitigation and adaptation over the last decade.
On the mitigation side she has undertaken numerous projects exploring both an energy optimised mix to decarbonisation and the pathway required to maintain a safe and habitable climate at either a site, city, country or regional level. On the adaptation side Amy has led the development of a suite of tools to understand, model and quantify the financial impact from a changing climate on site-specific operations.

Amy is immensely passionate about climate change, and reducing emissions rapidly to protect the health of ecosystems which she takes great joy from – like coral reefs and snow-covered mountains. This had led to volunteer advocacy work for groups like Sports Environment Alliance and Front Runners as well as the global group EcoAthletes.
