The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry​ WA Chapter was delighted to have you join us on Tuesday 5 September at the Melbourne Hotel, for the first edition of the Francophone Africa in Western Australia Forum (FAWAF), a remarkable event that brought together leading organisations AAMEG​, FACCI and Alliance Française​. This event aimed to initiate an ongoing dialogue about Australian business activities in Francophone Africa, forging connections and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

By joining forces, AAMEG, FACCI, and Alliance Française have created an open and inclusive platform for the Francophone Africa in Western Australia Forum, providing an opportunity to delve into the current state and future prospects of energy, resources, and sustainable development in Francophone Africa.

Our inaugural event boasted an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers. We were honoured to have John Welborn, Non-Executive Chairman of Apollo Group, deliver an insightful keynote address titled "Francophone Africa in a Post-COVID World: Outlook from Western Australia."

This was followed by two engaging panel discussions:

• "Successful Projects in Francophone Africa: A Holistic Approach"
• "Gearing Green Growth to the Region."

Following the enriching discussions, ample time was dedicated to networking, allowing all to connect with participants and other attendees, fostering meaningful connections and potential collaborations.
