WA | Innovation & Exportation of Australian Medicinal Alternatives

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry​ WA Chapter was delighted to have you on Thursday 16 February at Clifford Chance for an Industry event on Australian innovations in the healthcare sector.

The event featuring four speakers was a great opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest developments in the healthcare sector in Australia. Our well-versed speakers provided fascinating and valuable insights through an engaging panel discussion. Fleta Solomon, CEO of Little Green Pharma, discussed their pioneering work in developing pharmaceutical-grade medicinal cannabis, which is helping thousands of patients with chronic conditions around the world. Shaun Duffy, CEO of Reset Mind Sciences, shared insights into the use of psilocybin to treat mental illness, drawing on the medical cannabis expertise and infrastructure established within Little Green Pharma. Michael Carter, Head of International Trade & Investment at CCIWA, talked about how new and established businesses can reduce the time, cost, and risk of going global, pursuing global growth opportunities and/or global supply channel partners with importing and exporting trade. Lastly, Rodolphe Ruffié-Farrugia, Senior Associate at Clifford Chance, explored lessons learned from traditional actors and how those can be applied to the Australian innovations and healthcare sector through a legal lens.

All in all, the event was very informative, and attendees had a great opportunity to network with other professionals in the field.
