Passionate about UAS, Josh has been building and operating them in various forms since he was 10 years old.
A graduate of the Royal Military College - Duntroon, Josh has seen active duty in the Middle East in 2010 and 2014, providing logistical support and training the Afghan National Army alongside US Forces. After leaving active duty in 2015, he completed an MBA at the University of Queensland.
Since then, Josh has consulted on Defence projects and played a pivotal role in designing and building robotics that have recently been deployed in the Ukraine.
Recently, he's been advising Defence on UAS and Counter UAS strategies, engaging with the Australian UAS industry, and is now managing a national Uncrewed Traffic Management project.

Andrew Crowe is a graduate of the Royal Military College - Duntroon, class of 2004.
Commissioned into the Royal Australian Artillery, Andrew broke new ground as the Army's inaugural Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS) Troop Commander. Demonstrating leadership and strategic acumen, Andrew spearheaded the integration of UAS and other intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities during multiple deployments to the Middle East.
Transitioning from active duty in 2016, Andrew has continued to lead in the cutting-edge fields of robotics, autonomous systems, and UAS programs. As an Active Army Reserve Officer, Andrew remains focused on driving innovation within Defence.
In addition to these roles, Andrew contributes significantly to the industry as a Board Member and Director of the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems (AAUS) and is a credentialed graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Regional Sales Manager at Quantum-Systems
As the Regional Sales Manager at Quantum-Systems, he oversees the sales and business development for the reseller networks throughout the Asia Pacific region.
He has a lot of experience in this role, working with both commercial and governmental clients who need long endurance VTOL UAS systems with advanced interchangeable sensor options.
His mission is to expand the market share and customer satisfaction of Quantum-Systems, a leading German company that specializes in ISR and eVTOL platforms. Quantum-Systems has regional headquarters in California and Brisbane, Australia.
He has a strong background in remotely piloted aviation and GIS, with skills in new business development, marketing communications, and customer relationship management. He started his career in the RNZAF as a pilot and then later the NZ Army, where he gained valuable experience in planning and executing real world missions, as well as processing and delivering geospatial intelligence data. He his passionate about leveraging my expertise and network to help Quantum-Systems grow and succeed in the Asia Pacific region.
Senior Manager Sales and Marketing Operations at Airbus Australia Pacific
Scott is the Senior Manager for Sales and Marketing Operations for Airbus in Australia Pacific, while also being responsible for ecosystem development on topics such as Disaster Management and Advanced Air Mobility. He has been with Airbus for seven years in a number of different functional roles across a range of activities prior to his current position.
Scott graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy in 1990 and started his career as an aerospace engineer in the RAAF before moving into defence industry. As a practicing engineer, most of his time was spent on F-111 aircraft, eventually became Deputy Senior Design Engineer for F-111 Structures and Airframe Systems.
After ten years in the RAAF he worked seven years with an SME and five years with Boeing Defence Australia. He then left Defence Industry and worked for Brisbane City Council as a Senior Executive for over six years, being responsible for strategic asset management for a fleet of 1200 city buses. In 2017 he joined Airbus.
In 2007, he was a candidate for the Federal election with one of the major political parties.
Scott’s tertiary qualifications are in engineering, business, economics, finance and project management, while he holds various membership levels within a range of professional industry organisations, including graduate member of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
