VIC | Social procurement in transportation projects with the Hon. Danny Pearson

Mr Pearson is a member of the Legislative Assembly in the Victorian State Parliament, having been elected in 2014 and subsequently in 2018.

Mr Pearson was:  
• Chair - Public Accounts and Estimates Committee of the Parliament of Victoria (2014 – 2018). 
• Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier of Victoria (2019 – June 2020). 

In June 2020, Mr Pearson joined the Cabinet as Assistant Treasurer, Minister for Government Services and Minister for Regulatory Reform. He added the portfolio of Creative Industries to his responsibilities in October 2020 and held this role until June 2022. Minister Pearson became the Minister for Housing in June 2022 and in December 2022 was appointed to his current portfolios.

Mr Pearson holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration from the Melbourne Business School.

Chloe is an eager and hardworking engineer with broad experience across multiple engineering roles
within Ford Motor Company. Chloe has a strong work ethic, a persistent and curious nature, and takes
pride in doing things well. She is always eager to learn new things and take on new challenges both
personally and professionally.

Sue has been the CEO of leading not for profit, social enterprise Ability Works Australia Ltd since 2017. Ability Works provides life changing experiences to people with a disability and those experiencing social disadvantage. Her career spans 10 years in public health which includes 2 years with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Pakistan; 25 years with commercial organisations such as Nestle, Merck and was co-founder and Managing Director of marketing services firm TMG. Prior to joining Ability Works, Sue was General Manager Fundraising and Community Engagement at prominent mental health organisation Beyond Blue.

Adam is a senior consultant with specialist experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Tenders and
Project Delivery. He has led the Procurement and Local Industry Strategy development for major
Australian Rolling Stock and Infrastructure projects including the recent Queensland Train
Manufacturing Program; Commercial/Supply Chain Lead for Downer Rail/CRRC consortium for
Melbourne High Capacity Metro Trains and Sydney New Intercity Fleet tenders.
Adam is a strategic thinker and is able to quickly translate project goals and objectives into meaningful
strategies and delivery roadmaps. After 15 years in the Rail industry, he has developed strong
relationships with the Rail supply chain in Australia and overseas.

Jean-Marc has extensive experience in all aspects of risk based internal audit, corporate governance, consulting risk identification, assessment and management and has served a variety of companies specialising in the public sector. Based in Melbourne, Jean-Marc chairs the firm’s Asia-Pacific Risk Advisory Services Committee and acts as the Asia-Pacific liaison Partner for our European and North American firms. Jean-Marc has over 30 years of public accounting experience and is currently the National Head of Risk Advisory Services. Jean-Marc has led the development of our internal audit methodologies to make them more relevant in the current environment where advisors are required to focus on organisational objectives and risks, and where the regulatory environment is becoming increasingly demanding. He has been actively involved with the transport and infrastructure sector for most of his career. Jean-Marc has successfully delivered Internal Audit and Advisory services to several transport and infrastructure sector clients, such as Aurizon Network or NTT DATA Inc.

Dominique Giraud is the Head of Strategy of Omexom Australia, within VINCI Energies.
Since 2018, he develops the business of renewables, battery storage and synchronous condensers in Australia. Dominique is part of VINCI group since 11 years, and now coordinates support functions in APAC. Before settling in Melbourne, he was in charge of Renewable International Business Development within VINCI Energies, mainly in Europe and Africa. Dominique is a Chartered Engineer who has worked in the energy sector since 1997. He was Project Director within Econoler (Hydro Québec) in Canada, then Energy Manager within Egis Group. In the framework of all projects implemented, Dominique has worked in more than 60 countries, including New Zealand, Indonesia, Samoa, Fiji and Tonga.

Seved has more than 20 years of international experience working on major civil construction and engineering projects covering tunnels, bridges, marine works, airports and roads, and has worked with the Bouygues Construction Group for more than 17 years. Seved is currently engaged as the CEO of Bouygues Construction Australia (BYCA), overseeing a business of over 450 employees in both NSW and VIC. As part of his role, Seved has been involved in project governance of some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects including the NorthConnex Tunnel Project, Westconnex M4-M5 Link Tunnels Project, and the Metro Tunnel Melbourne Project. He has a flexible and adaptable approach to new sites and project establishment and is adept at creating and managing effective delivery teams.

Minty is an experienced adviser, providing her clients with a range of solutions including tax planning and transaction support, transfer pricing, and international tax advice. Minty specialises in intercompany financial transactions, helping companies with designing intercompany funding transfer pricing policies.
