Jean-Yves started his career with 5 years in Management Consulting in Arthur Andersen / Accenture, FMCG department.
He then spent 26 years in FMCG as senior Executive in blue chip Companies in many countries.

Jean-Yves came to Australia as CEO for Kellogg’s ANZ in 2008. Together with his family, he fell in love with the Australian country and culture, and decided to stay for good and became Australian in 2014.
In 2013, he set up his own Consulting business, ChessMate consulting, helping businesses in Australia on Sales and Marketing strategy and pragmatic execution, mainly in FMCG.

Jean-Yves’ main achievements have been to grow businesses profitably in tough retail environments in developed markets, and build strong teams. Specifically in Australia, as CEO for Kellogg’s, from 2008 till 2012, Jean-Yves managed to grow Revenues and share, without affecting the P&L structure, despite the historic shift of the Retail environment to the “Balance of Power” model following Coles’ acquisition by Wesfarmers in 2007.
